I love Baltimore.

I really do.  Despite the drugs, crime, grime, I love it.  Despite the

police cameras on every street light; the

bars on every other corner; the

 abandoned houses and overgrown grass in every block; the

horrible traffic.  Despite all of that, I really do miss living in Baltimore.  Here's why:

the fabulous old churches that are in every neighborhood.  They're like an oasis in a dessert land; there's

the eclectic businesses that are everywhere, like this hair salon. There's one of them in nearly every block too;

chicken & trout in the same establishment ... only in Baltimore.  But mostly I love Baltimore because

she's there.  (Sorry Cricket, had to take a pic with my cell phone while you were mid-chew.)  I love this girl and I love spending time with her and being care-free. She knows me like no other person and I know her too.  We've been friends for 25 years (eek!) and I'm so very thankful that she's still there for me.  So while Baltimore certainly has it's faults, it's not all bad.
