I am surrounded by boys!

When Sarah and James were smaller, I was surrounded by girls.  My bestest good friend, Cricket, had 4 girls and James was usually the only boy when we were together.  I like girls, well for the most part anyway.  I mean, I'm a girl.  I can relate to girls.  There were Barbi's and Cabbage Patch dolls and tea sets and girly things that I could get with.

Now, I'm surrounded by boys.  And there's cars and trucks and dinosaurs and swords and Transformers that I can't transform.  Don't get me wrong, I love my boys.  It's just that living in this house with Neely, James, James' friend Billy, William, Clayton & Daniel is tough.  There's dirt everywhere.  I'm constantly finding the toilet seat up, which is a HUGE problem for me.  Boys are loud and their feet smell.  They enjoy making a mess and rarely clean up after themselves.  And these boys eat.  A LOT.  Will has an appetite that could give James a run for his money.  Boys think burping and farting are funny.  It's definitely something that takes getting used to.  I need my Sarah to add a little bit of estrogen to the mix.  Oh hell, who am I kidding?  Sarah brings a whole lot of estrogen to the mix!  And I love her for it!

Boys do have their redeeming qualities.  Boys can fix things and change a tire and mow the grass and take the trash out.  I know girls can do those things too, but boys don't seem to mind them.  Boys also don't leave hair products and froo-froo stuff all over the place.  I'm sure there's more, but I haven't discovered them yet.  It's a journey.
